Sandy Sleever

Hello and thank you for taking the time to visit my website. My name is Sandy, I am 40 years old and have been overweight since age 10. My mother became concerned because I was gaining weight at such a young age, and took me to the doctor to find that I had severe hypothyroidism. In my early teenage years my weight was in the 180s -190s by age 18 I was 220. I got pregnant at 18 with my first child and gained 70 pounds. I eventually lost 20 but then became pregnant with my second child at 21 which put me right into the 300s. I struggled with my weight and diets since and nothing has been sucessful. My mother passed away in 2011 and I fell into a deep depression and gained another 50 pounds. 2 1/2 years later I finally decided at age 39 and weighing 378 pounds that it was time to do something about it. So in October 2014 I had Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy surgery. I am now 315 pounds and loosing. I am having to learn how to eat and appreciate food all over again. I have become quite creative in the kitchen and would like to share my recipes with you! Please bare with me as I just started this blog and it's going to take a while to get a lot on here.
